Dr Ranga Ranjan Das, M.Sc., M.Phil, LL.B., Ph.D is presently working as Director, Law Research Institute, Eastern Region, Gauhati High Court, Guwahati. He is the leading researcher of the country in general, North Eastern region in particular. He authored & edited 24 books so far viz. He is also a noted Poet, Short Story Writer & Novelist in Assamese Literature.
